Register

Registration for the 2011 Grand Prix of Art is now open for participants, volunteers and partnership opportunities.

Please submit the form below if you are interested in participating in the 2011 Steveston Grand Prix of Art as an artist or volunteer. Participating artists are asked to register on-line and mail in your cheque for $25 ( youth $15) to Phoenix Art Workshop, 8-3891 Chatham St. Richmond, BC. V7E 2Z6 ( please make the cheque out to Phoenix Art Workshop). Registration fees include lunch. Companion lunches are $10 each (please include this fee should you be joined by a guest.)

Rules:

Artists must complete registration forms and we must receive the check by September 15th 2011 to qualify for the pre- registration rate of $25.
Artists can register the day of the race if space is available ( $30 fee)
Youth Registration is $15
Artists must paint within 20 yards of the numbered and marked location ( where possible, locations will be equipped with a tent or shelter) Artist can set themselves up on location and make visual notes but must not mark their painting surface until the Gulf of Georgia opening whistle at 10:00 pm
At the sound of the 1pm whistle, artists must stop their work – they have 1/2 hour to return to Britannia Shipyards
Work must not be smaller than 8×10 or larger than 18×24 ( all drawing and painting medium are welcome).
Art work must be available for the duration of the exhibition. (2 weeks)
All Works of art on Paper must be framed
works on Canvas or Cradle Board must be wire ready for hanging at minimum.
All works must be picked up 24 hours after the exhibition closes or we will ship then at artists or buyers ecpence.
